Leisure Gender Research Blog Post and Infographic
I did research about my leisure activity, which is to watch TV. The 10 articles that I searched on Google included 5 articles about men and 5 articles about women. Those articles talk about men and women watching TV as a leisure activity. I think that both girls and boys can watch TV. It doesn't matter which gender you are. But, the articles that I read said watching TV was more for men than for women and another one said men are watching more TV than women do. For example, men watch TV 6 hours a day and women watch TV for 4 hours. I did this assignment in many different steps. First I searched about watching TV as a leisure activity. Second I wrote a gender project storyboard and then I went to easel.ly to create an infographic about watching TV for men and women. So, I used the writing part to finish my infographic about leisure and gender. I learned from this study how to create an infographic, how to use google search to find articles about watching TV, then find the word that represents men and women, and write how many images represents men and women watching TV and finally, I learned how to put the images in easel.ly for the infographic.
Below is a link to the infographic I created.

Leisure Activity: Watching TV
Prior to the study I thought that watching TV was more to the men and to the women about the impact of gender on my leisure activity. (Refer to Edmodo response from Day 1 of study)
I thought this because: (Think about your life experiences, and what has been told to you in life through the media, societal norms, or other influences)

2) Anyone can watch TV when ever they wants.
3) Watching TV is for everyone like some people can watch movies and others can watch dramas and etc.
Google:

Quote words, explain meaning

Out of the first 10 articles that appeared during the Google article search:

Analyze: I can make the following statements about the way gender is portrayed in the media in regards to my leisure activity.
